 1st Grade
Students are introduced to The Six Pillars of Character - Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. After learning the name of each pillar, students will gain a basic understanding by learning two important ideas about that pillar.
 2nd Grade
Students study The Six Pillars of Character - Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship - in more detail. They learn two more important ideas about each pillar, and practice using the pillars to make good choices.
 3rd Grade
Students finish their study of The Six Pillars of Character - Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. Students participate in activities and plays to help them understand the important ideas ("bubbles") of each pillar, and then construct a six pillar mobile.
 4th Grade
Using the Steps to Respect program, students practice friendship-making skills, learn to recognize and refuse bullying, learn how to reach out to someone who is being bullied and how to report bullying to a trusted adult.
 5th Grade
Students gain experience in the 3 Rs of Bullying (Recognize, Refuse, Report) during a literature unit. They also practice anger management strategies and peer refusal strategies.
 6th Grade
Students have the option of participating in several small groups throughout the year such as Saying No to Tobacco, Alcohol & Drugs; Career Choices, Anger Management and Bullying Prevention.
 Kindergarten
Students meet Duso the Dolphin and his friends. Through stories and activities, students learn more about themselves and how to get along with others. Duso encourages children to think of themselves as unique and worthwhile individuals, and to think positively about their abilities.
